Why should you watch World Trigger Anime? Here is the anime review

Have you ever wondered if you should watch World Trigger? Don’t worry we have you covered this article will let you see all the right reasons to watch World Trigger. World Trigger is a truly understated anime based on the manga of the same name written by Daisuke Ashihara. Her manga series started serializing in February 2013 but had to stop soon due to the author’s health.

Reasons to Watch Trigger World

This sudden gap led to a break in the anime’s adaptation, which started airing in 2014 but fortunately, the second season of the show started in 2021! Although the World Launcher contains many of the typical Shounen items, its popularity appears to be the least.

This can be linked at a slow pace as well as a great staff. But please don’t let the negative reviews stop you from checking out this amazing fantasy work because it has so much to offer!

Reasons why you should check out a world operator

1. A video game-inspired setting

In the world the story is in, people have Tron glands that allow them to use the trigger technique. This technology mainly belongs to the “neighbors,” or foreigners who threaten Japan.

To protect them, Border trains Trigger users. Basically, the operator helps create a fighting alternate body, which is stronger than a normal body but has a limit that depends on one’s ability.

This whole concept of an alternate reality in order for the user to exhaust its limits is unique and arouses his interest in learning more about this global situation, its benefits and limitations.

The World Triggers setup is innovative and well executed. That alone is one of the biggest reasons to watch this show.

2. The dependence of the battle on tactical strategies and approaches

Unlike the way shonen fights usually proceed, depending on willpower and strength gained from the presence of Nakama’s friends, the fights in this universe are largely dependent on strategy.

Emphasis is placed on using a specific location to your advantage, considering not only the surroundings but also the weather conditions. Adapt to worst-case scenarios, prepare for counterattacks.

Rank wars, which are mock battles to test motivated users’ skills and improve their ranks, are explored in great detail and serve as a great way to understand characters.

Why should the world see a trigger?

Even the relatively weak can defeat stronger enemies by using every bit of information to their advantage. It’s an experience, to say the least.

You’ll always be guessing again who can win or not and thus still engaged! Tell me a better reason not to start this ASAP?

3. Wide cast with no one feeling left out

The one thing most animations fail to do is give each character a boost. Too often, most of the supporting characters are forgotten because they are either very useless or always in the shadows of the MC.

Moving in this direction, World Trigger does a job to make nearly every character useful. Even screen time is nicely divided. Sometimes the main cast just doesn’t show up!

Everyone plays a part in pushing the plot forward, and all their motives work together to protect Medeen (Japan). Although there is a clear political split in secret.

I personally think that’s one of the biggest reasons to check out this series! There’s no way you won’t find a few characters to root when there are a lot of VIPs.

4. Realistic strength and growth scale

Osamu, the main character, is by far the weakest. However, unlike common flare-ups, training doesn’t happen here for a few months. There is a frustratingly low lead in Osamu’s skill set after finishing Season Two.

Likewise, it is not as if the other weak characters immediately became strong or the already strong characters were overcome. There is only a gradual development in all directions, and brute force or zero force does not lead to an apparent victory or defeat.

The strong don’t always succeed because success depends on excellent teamwork and strategies. Battle graphics always end up out of sync with reality, but the world operator is able to maintain balance.

Maybe this realism is one of the reasons why the show is so addicting! You’ll keep coming back to see the gradual progression of the characters.

5. Obviously, no one is black or white

Realism in the World Triggers plot strikes from. Neighbors or aliens are pure evil, but it quickly turns out that this is not entirely true. Good neighbors like Yuma are here.

Evil people also have real motives, for example, to find a way to make sure their planet isn’t destroyed. Within the borders themselves, there is a political division due to different policies.

While the main force is aggressive in its approach to getting rid of all neighbors, Tamakuma insists on a diplomatic approach towards them, and goes as far as forming alliances as possible. Both have valid justifications for their approaches.

Hence, the author does a great job of making sure that no one is completely black or white and ultimately works together to protect Japan and its future. This demonstrates the maturity of the plot and gives us another good reason to read / watch this show because every arc is guaranteed to be reasonable.

6. Overcome but not excessive lead personality

There are quite a few OP characters already in loads of shows that end up changing the fates of fights right after their appearance. Can relate to the proverbs of Gojou from Jujutsu Kaisen. Likewise, we have Yuichi Jin here, an elite catalyst user from Tamakoma.

He is one of the four main characters but works behind the scenes. He is clearly the strongest, but he manages to attract the least amount of attention while being the mastermind all the time! Unlike the other OP characters, he is intentionally keeping himself but manages to protect everyone besides himself.

His playful personality relieves dangerous situations but also annoys many people because he can outrun literally everyone. However, one thing is clear: his ulterior motive is always to protect his country.

Characters like him need to actually appear and instantly become fan favorites! So, of course, it’s a big reason to watch this show.

I want to close by saying that if you have patiently read or watched World Trigger, it is bound to sit in your top 5! So he jumped on this journey and continued on into the ongoing second season. If you liked this article, you might also like Top 10 Classic Anime as Cowboy Bebop.
