4. Recap of Chapter 225
I. Sawamura’s Training
Everyone is seen praising Sawamura for accomplishing a two-out with his new and incredible pitch.
Other players are confused with Sawamura’s throws which combine the splitter and the 2-seamer called Number 9.
Sankou’s players remember that Sawamura threw splitters in his previous games but the recent throws have a higher speed to it.
This makes him realize that he might have gained the skill during training.
II. Sawamura’s Game
Owing to his training, Sawamura removes Sankou’s leadoff from the game in a single pitch and has everyone asking if he threw a fastball or not to accomplish this feat.
The second hitter from Sankou’s team is Mori. He decides to target Sawamura’s fastball until there are no moves left.
This strategy however fails him as the first pitch becomes a swing and a miss with Moru assuming that the pitch must have come under his bat.
The 3rd batter from Seidou’s rival team shows up questioning Sawamura’s pitching style and settles on the idea that he pitches fastballs.
Miyagawa’s game plan is to destroy Sawamura’s pitches but fails to do so as it ends in a strike.
Miyagawa hits the second one only for first baseman Maezono to catch it and throw it back to the base.
We just witnessed Sawamura’s exemplary performance and the team’s sound game plan.
With three out, Sedou’s ace did justice to his team. In the upcoming chapter, we will see what Amahisa game will look like.
